Management - processing - analysis of field and construction seismic measurements and earthquake recordings, in geotechnical earthquake engineering, soil dynamics and geophysical engineering, engineering seismology:

- Experimental fields – instrumental observations (geotechnical geotechnical engineering)

Investigation of geometry and dynamic properties (Vs, Vp, Eo, Go, ν, Qs, Qp) of subsurface structure at small and large scale, using geophysical seismic (refraction, inversion SWI/SASW, inside boreholes CH and DH) prospecting, seismic noise, earthquake records, and seismic tomography. Design, organization, implementation of large-scale experiments with installation of permanent / temporary networks of recording units. Instrumentation with all kinds of sensors / recorders, in free field, drilling and constructions. Systems/algorithms for on-line/real-time monitoring of recording networks.

- Instrumental and theoretical assessment of seismic response (technical seismology)Estimation of the impact of local geological conditions on seismic motion with theoretical (finite difference, in 1/2/3 dimensional structures) and instrumental/empirical (SSR, HVSR, NHVSR, GIT) approaches. Theoretical simulations of strong ground motion and earthquake/design spectrum. Microzonation studies. Qualitative-quantitative estimation of seismic excitation amplification parameters in soil deposits / topographies. Analysis of earthquake recordings in the fields of time-frequency, time-phase, frequency-wavenumber, phase/group-period velocity, Hilbert/Fourier transforms, power and response spectra, stress-strain, aggravation factor.- Critical formulation of proposals for the revision of the seismic codes, with reference to the design spectrums, the categorization of the soil categories, the Vs,30 index, the aggravation factor. Proposals - applications. Databases.
